Rescue Bank Pictures From West, TX

Every click at www.TheAnimalRescueSite.com helps Rescue Bank load trucks full of pet food for shelters every month. This April, the nonprofit's founders Cynthia Nesser and Elizabeth Asher, both residents of Texas, went with the delivery to meet first hand the pets of West, TX, whose bowls will be filled with this donation.

Following the explosion in West last week, the Humane Society in Waco took in pets found wandering or provided housing for pets whose owners are currently unable to care for them.

"Food, bowls, beds, leashes, collars, free flea meds, free spay/neuter, and other services are and will continue to be offered to the victims," Asher learned on the trip.

Rescue Bank delivered nine pallets of pet food to the Humane Society to help the families and pets left homeless by the explosion.

Rescue Bank Goes To West, TX:

It all begins with pallets of pet food in a warehouse. Every click at www.TheAnimalRescueSite.com helps distribute this food to shelters and rescue groups. This bunch is bound for Waco, Texas, to help families and pets displaced by the explosion in nearby West, TX.

David Stewart, who works for the City of Waco, helps unload.

Cynthia Nesser from Rescue Bank checks into Waco Humane Society to meet some of the pets whose bowls will be filled by clicks at The Animal Rescue Site.

The Humane Society is housing pets whose families are still working on clean up and recovery.

Approximately one hundred animals were taken into the very small shelter after the explosion. Obviously, it's been tough for pets separated from their families.

But the dogs get out for their walks and to give their own version of a "Thank You" hug for having their bowls filled.

GreaterGood.org supports Rescue Bank's deliveries of pallets of pet food through donations from The Animal Rescue Site and the Gifts That Give More program.
