It's been over three months since the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and rescue groups are working nonstop to save individuals and rebuild the destroyed landscape. Other groups are working tirelessly to save displaced animals as many were rendered homeless when their owners had to quickly flee their homes.
Animal rescue organizations and dedicated individuals have stepped forward to make sure as many animals as possible are safe and accounted for. They're caring for sick animals, helping to rescue them from radiation zones, and reuniting them with their families. Even months later, this job is tiresome and continuous.
Organizations like Japan SPCA, Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support, and Humane Society International are on the ground getting animals to safety and nursing them back to health. Sign the petition expressing your thanks to these organizations for continuing to risk their lives to keep Japan's animals safe!
Dear Humane Society International, Japan SPCA, Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support, and World Vets Disaster Relief for Animals:
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your selfless efforts in rescuing the animals affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan that occurred on March 11, 2011.
Without much warning, many families had no choice but to leave their beloved pets behind when they had to evacuate the affected areas. Even worse, countless pets were left homeless when their owners died in the disaster. There are even still pets living within the dangerous areas of radiation exposure.
We need devoted people like you to come to the rescue of these animals, and your dedication does not go unnoticed. Please continue to save Japan's precious animal life. Thank you for your efforts!
Sincerely,
