A disturbing practice is taking place in today in America's medical industry: animals are being injured and killed in medical marketing demonstrations. Medical companies present sales proposals to potential clients that demonstrate the use of various treatments, tools, and surgeries.
We must take action to ensure no more innocent creatures are harmed during medical marketing presentations. No amount of profit is worth any animal's life. Sign the petition below urging Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to move forward with legislation that will increase penalties for those who use animals for marketing medical devices.
Dear Secretary Vilsack:
As an avid animal activist, I was extremely alarmed to hear of the injustices being performed on animals in the name of profit and sales. The medical industry should know better than to use defenseless creatures in their testing and demonstrations, yet they continue to place dogs and other friendly animals in harm's way by using them as test subjects. There have been many instances in which animals have been injured or have died during these demonstrations. Have we become a country so focused on money that we now fail to acknowledge the basic rights of living creatures?
I believe we should live in a world that places the value of life over such ideals as profit and career advancement. We can't lose any more animals due to the sheer selfishness these companies are exhibiting.
Please help America's animals by sponsoring legislation that would increase penalties for those who use animals in medical demonstrations. Your influence could mean life or death for an innocent creature.
Thank you for your time.
