I am gravely concerned about the reindeer slaughter that is taking place in Sweden. I've learned that reindeer are highly coveted for their meat and hides, and that herders in Sweden and other parts of Scandinavia are inhumanely collecting the reindeer, and taking them to sub-par facilities where they await their grim fate.

The herders use nasty tactics to round up the reindeer. Snowmobiles, helicopters, and other intimidating machinery are utilized in the round-ups. When the reindeer have been collected, they are thrown into a tiny holding automobile where they are liable to stab each other with their antlers. If the reindeer even make it to the next destination, there they endure starvation and illness, all before being slaughtered for their by-products.

This practice is abhorrent and needs to stop now. Please use your authority in Sweden to see that the reindeer slaughter is done away with for good.
