National Shelter Appreciation Week is November 6-12, and now is the time to thank your shelters everywhere for their tireless work in rescuing stray animals and caring for them.
Shelters take in homeless, sick, and otherwise unadoptable animals when there is no one to give them a proper home. Many of these animals simply need a second chance, and when there isn't a good home to do it, shelters take them in and keep them alive.
You can take this opportunity to thank your local shelter, or even visit it to see what kind of good deeds it's carrying out. Who knows, you might even fall in love with a little critter of your own!
Sign the petition showing your appreciation for shelters — and then send the letter below to your local shelter workers, thanking them for their life-saving work!
To whom it may concern at my local shelter,
As you know, November 6-12 is National Shelter Appreciation Week, and I would like to take this time to thank you for all of the work you do on behalf of homeless animals.
There are too many animals that don't have proper homes, as well as sick and abused animals that, without human intervention, would not stand a chance of survival. Your tireless work makes their well being possible once again.
Thank you so much for the effort you put into keeping our animals safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
