Story begins when Zoey (her sister) needed a friend. Began taking trips to shelters to find "the one". Good Friday 2008, went to Orange County Animal Services and began the search once again.

Upon looking at all the animals desperate for a home, she caught my eye. I had the opportunity to meet 3 dogs. Something about her, she became first on my list. But she had none of the qualifications that I was looking for either...but something about her. The other two that I had chosen were what I was looking for, but Keno must have been looking for me.

Turning in my sheet to do a meet and greet, the lady said "I want you to know her time is up tomorrow." I began to cry. She said "No, No, I just wanted you to know in case you were going to 'think about it'. Her time was extended because of the holiday in hopes she finds a forever home. She will not be here tomorrow though."

Well... the list of 3 became one. Did the meet and greet with every intention of saving here life. She performed fetching, licking, cuddling, and every other appreciation tactic she could think of at that time. Little did she know she already had me.

The 3 of us have been through thick and thin. We have traveled the USA, made many friends, and even been in trouble. One thing is for certain, in spite of everything we have been through, it is very obvious that we love each other unconditionally, and will never give up on one another. Thank you Keno for rescuing Zoey and me! I think we are the lucky ones!!

About The Animal Rescue Site

The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need — providing food and vital care for some of the eight million unwanted animals given to shelters every year in the U.S., as well as animals in desperate need around the world. Over four million animals are put to death each year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.

Each click on the purple "Click Here to Give — it's FREE!" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food and care for a rescued animal in need. Funding for food and care is paid by site sponsors and distributed to animals in need by Rescue Bank, The Fund for Animals, the Petfinder Foundation, North Shore Animal League, International Fund for Animal Welfare, and other worthy animal rescue organizations supported by GreaterGood.org.

In addition to clicking the purple "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button, visitors can help more by shopping in The Animal Rescue Site store. With each item purchased, shoppers generate funds for the feeding and care of animals in shelters and sanctuaries.
