Autism is a developmental disorder that can cause tremendous difficulty and confusion for individuals and their families. Many times, people with autism find it hard to participate in society socially and in the work force. It's important that the government provide services to those with autism and their families to help offset the adversity they may face.
The Autism Spectrum Disorders Services Act of 2011 (H.R. 2007) would mandate the establishment of programs to provide people with autism spectrum disorder and their families with help and resources. H.R. 2007 would help children, individuals with autism wishing to continue their education, and people with autism who may be considered at risk.

I have two on the spectrum. Finding qualified and caoable support workers are very challenging and for the level of care required....expensive. having comprehensive support like they have for seniors and ither areas of vulnerable sector matters to us

people with autism don't have the street smarts that many of us have that are not on the spectrum. for this reason, they need someone else looking after them in the case of an emergency or missing people.
