Arizona governor Jan Brewer has stated her position on patients waiting for medical transplants: she doesn't really care. In October 2010, Governor Brewer cut funding for Arizona's transplant program — putting many people's health and survival in grave danger. Without this assistance, patients in need won't be able to pay for their expensive medical bills associated with a transplant.
Governor Brewer's opinion on the issue is completely unfounded. How can it be wasteful to provide care to someone whose life depends on it?
Sign the petition letting Jan Brewer know you're outraged at her blatant disregard for sick patients and ask her to reinstate funding for transplants.
Dear Governor Brewer:
I in no way support your decision to remove funding from the thousands of people in Arizona who need organ transplants. While I understand the need to reduce spending and collective debt, taking away vital funding for those whose lives depend on it is the absolute wrong way to do it. I don't understand how you can think that destroying someone's chance to live a healthy life is a sound way to manage our debt.
Your decision to remove this crucial funding is baseless in any fact. You wouldn't want your constituents to see you as a callous and calculating political figure, so you should do the right thing. Reinstate funding for transplant patients in Arizona.
Thank you for your time.
