While talking to some friends about my breast cancer, I discovered that most had no idea that an inverted nipple needed to be checked. I think more needs to be said about the signs of possible trouble, especially an inverted nipple. I had no lump! Even with a mammogram and an ultrasound there was no sign of any cancer. Thank heaven I had a concerned doctor in the radiology department who ordered an MRI. This detected the cancer. As I face surgery next week, I want to tell other women: "If you suddenly have an inverted nipple, get it checked and ask about an MRI." This can save your life -- I know it saved mine!
