On August 1, 2011 I was diagnosed with Breast Ductal Carcinoma. What a Shock! After all I have done my yearly and monthly exams for the last 15 years with no suspicious areas. So this would be a total shock having no real family history of any type cancer. My family took it hard I was just numb. After having a long talk with God I made a decisionm "I can do this Lord." And I made a promise to myself that day, my motto would be "Losing is not an option, I will fight with all my might to win." And so I am in the middle of my fight. Had a mastectomy On November 1, 2011, it turned out to be Stage 3 ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvment. An agressive cancer no less. Then started my Taxol treatments in December after 12 weeks of that I am currently doing my FAC treatments over the next 12 weeks then on to my 6 weeks of radiation for 30 treatments. My plan is to be in remission after all this because for me "Losing is not an option" I have to much to live for! <3 <3 <3 It is not the easiest journey in my life so far but to be able to spend an extended life with my family will make this worth it. My husband, children, grandchildren and sisters have been a great support system as well as my friends. I thank God every day for all of them.
