For years I have followed this website and clicked for "free mammograms" for other women. This past Friday afternoon I had to step up to the plate myself when I received the news that I, too, had breast cancer. Since then I have spoken to a number of others who have "been there; done that" and been warmly welcomed to the "sisterhood." I don't think I ever really touched into the whole concept until it became my own. As I prepare for my meetings with the oncologist and the surgeon I stand on the shoulders of all those brave and wonderful women who have been through these same types of days. I am so grateful that there is this community out there and that I know you truly understand all the emotions and thoughts of these early days of preparation. This site is a life saver for me now and I am so grateful that all of you are here with me.
