What is The Breast Cancer Site?

The Breast Cancer Site is an online activism site that offers simple ways to help mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends in the fight against breast cancer.

Clicking is Free

In just a few seconds each day, visitors can click on the pink "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button on the home page and, at no cost to them, help fund a free mammogram for a woman in need. The mammograms are paid for by The Breast Cancer Site's sponsors and distributed by the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to our charitable partners.

The Breast Cancer Site was founded on October 23, 2000. Since that day, tens of millions of site visitors have given more than 16,000 mammograms to women in need via a simple and free daily click!

Shopping Gives Even More

Shopping at The Breast Cancer Site store helps even more. Each and every purchase provides more funding to provide free mammograms to women in need. And, we carry thousands of pink ribbon items that show your support of the cause and help spread the word.

Together, your free daily click and showing your support through purchases in The Breast Cancer Site store create a powerful, positive force for early detection and lives saved!

How does the site work?

When you click on the pink "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button, your click is counted by our servers and you move to the Thank You page. There, you will see small ads for our site sponsors. Mammograms are fully funded by the advertising fees paid by these sponsors. There is no charge to you.

100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to our charitable partners.

Every click on the pink button sends funding to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to pay for mammograms for women who cannot afford them. The more people who click, the more free mammograms we can fund.

Who pays for the mammograms?

Site sponsors purchase small ads on the Thank You page for a certain amount of time. The Breast Cancer Site then tabulates the number of people who click during that time frame and bills the sponsors for the appropriate amount. The Breast Cancer Site then sends 100% of advertising fees to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to our charitable partners.

What is the National Breast Cancer Foundation?

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need, particularly minority, low-income, homeless, and working poor women.

How do you calculate the number of mammograms given by visitors' clicks?

We count the number of clicks each day. The amount paid for those clicks is based on the type and structure of advertising agreement the site sponsors have with The Breast Cancer Site.

The two keys to the success of The Breast Cancer Site are site sponsors and visitors like you. The more sponsors the site has, the more funding toward mammograms is given to women in need with each click. The more visitors who click each day, the more advertising fees we can collect and the more mammograms we can fund together!

How often can I click on the "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button? Can I just keep clicking and give more mammograms?

You can click once a day, every day of the year on The Breast Cancer Site and on each of our other Click to Give™ sites. Our agreement with our sponsors allows us to count one click, per person, per calendar day. A monitoring system is set up to check this. While you could click on the button ten or a hundred or a thousand times, we will only count one click from you. In the meantime, our system could be slowed down, possibly overloaded, preventing other visitors' clicks from generating funding. Please note that we count clicks received through company firewalls, proxy servers, etc., to the best of our ability. We count every click as fairly and accurately as possible.

How many mammograms will be provided because of my clicks?

Please see our Results — How You're Helping page for a detailed breakdown of funding generated.

Are cookies required to count my click?

You do not have to accept cookies in order to click and have your click count!

For enhanced site visitor experience, we may use a cookie to store your click history. This would only be used to display your click history to you, and is purely optional. In addition, some of our site underwriters may use cookies in the process of displaying their sponsor ads. In any case, you are not required to accept cookies to click.
