Japan's cruel whaling industry is at it again!

Even though the International Whaling Commission issued a moratorium on commercial whaling in 1986, Japan continues to slaughter the whales in hopes commercial whaling will be reinstated.

But that's not going to happen. The mass killing of these majestic animals is opposed by most of the world, and it's Japan's turn to respond to the outcry.

Urge the Prime Minister of Japan to stop allowing the whale massacre now!

Dear Yoshihiko Noda,

Please reconsider the brutal slaughter of whales in Japan's waters.

As you know, in 1986 the International Whaling Commission issued a moratorium on all commercial whaling. But Japan continues to ignore the ban and participates in whaling year-round.

Most nations have expressed their opposition to the slaughter, saying Japan's whaling program is thinly veiled by a claim that it's being done for research purposes. However, whale meat continues to be sold in restaurants and stores.

Please do the right thing for the whales' survival and stop the slaughter now!

May 11, 2013 Carol Friendly Whales & dolphins are intelligent/ family oriented mammals; don't deserve to be hunted to extinction for no good reason. Flesh is full of mercury; no good to eat. Blubber not needed for cosmetics or fuel. Why not whale/dolphin watching in the ocean ships?
