At GreaterGood, we do our best to raise awareness of good causes and to connect people every day with simple ways to make the world a better place. It is our charitable partners who do the heavy lifting — the ones who use the funds that your daily clicks and your shopping raise to accomplish the mission.

Funding for all chartable projects and partners is distributed by GreaterGood.org. Since GreaterGood began in 1999, we have given nearly $30 million to charities operating here and around the world.

Grants funded by The Veterans Site are paid by GreaterGood.org to charities and non-profit organizations to provide meals and other aid to homeless veterans, veterans in need, and veterans' families. Clicking and shopping on The Veterans Site helps fund grants for the following charitable partners, among others:

Feed Our Veterans

Feed Our Veterans is a non-profit food pantry organization that distributes free food and groceries at regular, scheduled times to U.S. military veterans in need and their families. The organization was founded by Navy veteran Rich Synek.

Veteran Homestead, Inc.

Veteran Homestead provides medical, psychological, and spiritual care to veterans who are diagnosed with a terminal illness, elderly, disabled, or otherwise in need. This nonprofit organization was founded by CEO Leslie Lightfoot in 1993 in Leominster, MA, and has since expanded into various facilities in New England and Puerto Rico.

Veterans Village of San Diego

Veterans Village of San Diego was founded in 1981 by Vietnam veterans to reach out to other veterans, focusing first and foremost on getting the homeless off the streets and back into society. Over the past three decades, VVSD has grown into a nationally-recognized nongovernmental organization known for delivering innovative services to veterans. Their annual Stand Down reaches homeless veterans throughout the United States, not only giving them a hot meal and a place to clean up, but also connecting them with services and aid in their community. At VVSD's five locations in San Diego County, they provide assistance to homeless veterans and their families through substance abuse recovery programs, counseling, job training and job search assistance, housing, food, clothing, and legal services.
